Dau is part of the newly pronounced component city of Mabalacat. If you are coming from the Balibago District, Dau will be on the threshold of the city proper and it is basically the receiving area of the town. A lot of prominent establishments are situated within the area of Dau, also, residential areas and public markets are mostly found in here. Mabalacat Bus (Dau) Terminal is located within the vicinity of Dau and it contributes to the generation of revenues of the town. The terminal itself is so busy because of the daily traffic from the incoming and outgoing transports of commuters. The main road is generally made in asphalt with four wide lanes allotted for jeepneys, buses, vans, taxis, big trucks and cargo vehicles. The rural area of Dau is connected with two major expressways in Pampanga, the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) and Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX). These are the major projects of the past and present administrations that made provincial transportation easier and faster. Moreover, the two main airports of Pampanga region, Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) and DMIA (Diosdado Macapagal International Airport), are also accessible through these freeways.
