Company History
Saver’s Appliance Depot started as a video rental shop in 1983, Jack’s Video. In 1986, it ventured into trading of retail appliance with its first Savers Mart outlet along Plaridel St., Angeles City trading under savers General Merchandising Inc. Six years thereafter, the group took a leap of faith and established one of the first Cable Television Networks outside of Metro Manila, Angeles City Cable Television Network (ACCTN). Wanting to widen its presence in the area, it also established Comclark Network & Technology Corporation, a broadband provider and system integration in 1997. One year after, saw the rising of the first mall, Savers Mall, right at the very heart of the Angeles City. To be able to live up with the commitments of the company to its customers, it established SKU Air-conditioning and Industrial Services in 2005. And in 2006, the retail operation of the company assumed the trade name of Savers Digital Hub Appliance Depot with 22 branches already throughout Luzon including its first outlet in Metro Manila. In the subsequent year, Simon & Stanley International Trading & Dev’t Co. Inc. was formed to cater to the industrial and institutional clients/locators inside Clark Freeport Zone.
A few years later, Saver’s General Merchandising Inc. spun off into four distinct companies with each company serving its own geographic niche market.
- Sentine Development Corp – Angeles/ Bataan/ Zambales/Subib & Manila areas
- Alvy and Son’s Dev’t Corp – Angeles downtown area and San Fernando, Pampanga
- Tarlac Mac Enterprises – Tarlac, Pangasinan and Nueva Ecija areas
- J.C Dauson Development Corp. – Northern Luzon areas that include Tuguegarao, Aparri, Isabela
Savers retail appliance business has grown quickly into a giant conglomerate which now boasts of 33 branches conveniently located around Luzon. Today, the founders of Savers continue to fulfill their dreams as they persevere to make this family corporation into a globally competitive enterprise.
